A Featured Annapolis Experience Photo Show

 

This past Saturday, April 28th, the 30th Annual St. John’s College versus the US Naval Academy Croquet Match was held on the campus of St. John’s College here in Annapolis Maryland. While overcast skies and the occasional light sprinkle of rain were common place throughout this year’s event the friendly spirit of competition and the reluctance of the weather to spoil the day for everyone made for a great time had by one and all.

Here some of this year’s attendees make their way up from Prince George Street to join the crowd at the 30th Annual St. John’s versus the US Naval Academy Croquet Match held April 28th on the campus of St. John’s College in Annapolis Maryland.

This couple was engaged in a conversation as the croquet match proceeded while other members of the crowd danced, ate and drank on this Spring afternoon in Annapolis Maryland.

A young lady seems to be enjoying the company of her friends as match play takes place on the St. John’s College campus lawn on what has turned out to be a pleasant Saturday afternoon.

 Dennis, the St. John’s College Sous Chef, and his crew worked hard throughout the afternoon grilling chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs for the hungry crowds. By the way his hamburger was one of the best ones that I have had in a long time.

 By mid afternoon some members of the crowd were letting their hair down a bit more so to speak as they did a little people watching.

Picnics were still the order of the day at this year’s St. John’s College versus the US Naval Academy Croquet Match. The area near the playing fields was the scene of enjoying good food, drinks and conversations.

As this couple is seen making their way out of the crowd than this picture will also serve to conclude our photo show of the 30th Annual St. John’s College versus the US Naval Academy Croquet Match. We had a great time at this year’s event and look forward to attending the 31st annual as well.
