A Look Back At Some of the 2011 May Day Flower Baskets In Historic Annapolis Maryland

Annapolis Experience Blog Photo Show of the 2011 May Day Flower Basket Celebration

Last year it was a very colorful experience to walk the streets of Annapolis Maryland, in spite of the cloudy weather that we were experiencing then, which is certainly one of the great things about celebrating May Day here. For decades Annapolis residents as well as it’s merchants have decorated their doors on May Day with beautiful flowering baskets. Each year there is also a contest held in the Historic District of the City that recognizes the best flower baskets of the event – yes this means no artificial or dried flower entries are allowed just real flowers.

So here is a brief photo show of some of the Historic District residences that were decorated last year for you to see. Of course just click on any of these pictures to view a full size version of it.
