Often referred to as the, or one of the, most beautiful doors in America the elegant wooden carvings set above the front entranceway of the Hammond-Harwood House is certainly an architectural sight to behold. The 1774 residence was designed by noted colonial architect William Buckland for Matthias Hammond and represents perhaps the most grand of ‘town homes’ built in the Golden Age of Annapolis.

With Spring about to arrive and the weather warming up surely this a great time to once again experience the beautiful sites of our historic City,

Glenn
