Catching An Occasional Wind

A Sailing Sloop Underway at Midmorning Off Greenbury Point in Annapolis Maryland May 10th 2016

The skies in Annapolis alternated between shades of grey and a hazy backdrop over the course of the morning while at midday there have been occasional streams of sunlight descending on both the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay. For local sailors it has been one of those seemingly indifferent days for sailing however one gentleman told me upon returning to the marina that he experienced up to 15 knot winds early in the morning. Well May weather can be a bit weird, which has certainly been the case so far this year.

Featured above is a sailing sloop shown with its spinnaker raised as it passes off Greenbury Point with the Bay Bridge visible in the background.

Have a good day,

Glenn
