Taking advantage of the occasional breaks in today’s rainy weather I headed outside not only to take a couple of photographs here in Annapolis but also to get a bit of lunch. I was thinking that a bowl of soup might be quite accommodating on a day such as this, however by the time I managed to snap a couple of pictures something more hearty seemed to be in order.

Making my way down a brick walkway on the east side of the Maryland State House I caught sight of the Potato Valley Cafe and began thinking that a loaded potato just might be the thing to have on a day such as this.

Located in the former Circle Theatre building, and yes that is its correct spelling, the cafe is located on the right side of its 1920 Beaux Arts facade, that itself was erected in 1920. Today the rest of the building serves as offices.

Have a hopefully dry afternoon,

Glenn
