Perhaps it was the best way to end a long and at times frustrating day by watching this Chesapeake Bay pilot boat dock on Back Creek in Annapolis while sipping a glass of wine. Of course every day has its own rewards so was the case just after I pressed the shutter release for the captain of the Pilot Express executed a slow yet precise turn to port and maneuvered right up to the dock in one fluid approach.

I’m sure that both the pilot and crew have had a long day as well and it must have felt good to be back in port. As for myself it was nice to finally be home. Let’s see how tomorrow goes then shall we?

Have a good evening,

Glenn
