Lampposts Stretch into the Distance

Northeast Perspective From the State House Early in the Morning After the Rains Annapolis Maryland May 12th 2017

Confident that there is only one more day of rain to contend with before the sunshine begins an extended stay in Annapolis on Sunday I optimistically stepped out this morning in search of another subject, building or setting to photograph.

After having walked back and forth along West Street, as well as its adjoining streets, I began to make my way in the direction of St. John’s College, however in the process of doing so I opted for a detour around the Maryland State House. Besides I was ready for a break so as to enjoy a few sips of my recently replenished cup of coffee, that also included taking in the views from one of the highest vantage points in the City, at least from ground level.

As it turned out my elevated perspective of the northeast area of the City was quite peaceful while my eyes seemed to follow the lampposts off into the distance along the still damp brick walkway.

Have a good weekend,

Glenn
