A Shaded Respite from the Day’s Sunshine

Today’s featured photograph was to say the least quite an easy choice to make after having passed by the late 18th century McCusker House earlier this morning. Yes for there tucked along the northwest side of the combination Georgian and Colonial style Annapolis Historic District house was this shed style roof and covered porch set in the morning shade.

The practicality of this urban residential setting aside, given yet another summer day of intense sunshine, I was also drawn to the presence of this porch by the grey and red colors used on both the house’s German clapboard siding, as well as its porch roof and side door respectively. In addition there were the two yellow chairs set aside one other and contrasted by individual black and white striped pillows.

Once again please be careful spending time outside today and stay well hydrated,

Glenn
