Publisher’s Note:

Today marks the beginning of the seventh consecutive year I have been publishing a daily photo post on the Annapolis Experience Blog. Yes without a single interruption for the last 2,193 days I set out each day walking the streets and shorelines, as well as occasionally on board a boat or kayak, exploring the City of Annapolis Maryland so as to take a photograph depicting a singular setting and moment of time in my hometown.

Such as in our own lives change is inevitable and during the preceding six years of local photography my artistic interests evolved as did the venues where I found my inspiration. In any event after years of contemplative artistic self exploration the time has come for me to expand my geographic horizons of photographic offerings to share. Look for more about this upcoming change in the weeks ahead.

Thank you for visiting Annapolis with me through my photograph over these last six years – Glenn

While this morning’s sunrise in Annapolis was obscured by a mostly cloudy sky I found myself taking advantage of the then available light along the end of this creek’s heavily forested shoreline. It was there that I caught sight of the sailboat Button moored against the treeline with its wooden dinghy Isabelle tied up along her starboard side.

Both the dense shoreline foliage as well as the water’s surface exuded dark green hues with the latter providing for a seemingly perfect reflection of both the sailboat and dinghy. In addition this photograph did not even require cropping for I found it to be framed quite well so as to convey this tranquil looking early morning creekside setting.

Have a good weekend,

Glenn
